Some Wonderful Images from the New York Public Library Digital Gallery

I was struck by the detail, so much handwork for what babies and toddlers wore...and you just know that these beautiful things were going to get ruined...babies just mess stuff up.

And whoever heard of a careful toddler? But the love that is shown here is undeniable.
